“Vedas are the most ancient sources of Indian philosophical tradition and contain the idea of well-being for the entire humanity. Vedic vision is holistic and it integrates all the spheres of human existence: physical and spiritual, micro and macro, action and devotion, male and female, mortal and immortal. Vedic wisdom is not limited to any spatiotemporal boundaries but is relevant for all times and all climes.
The present book is an anthology of fourteen papers on numerous themes of Vedic philosophy, written and presented by the author at various conferences and seminars across the globe. It provides an integral vision of the Vedas in a coherent manner. It meticulously elucidates different dimensions of Vedic thought relevant for the contemporary world beset with several challenges.
In fact the book in hand is an “odyssey across the harmony: the Divine, Nature and Life”. It depicts the diverse vistas of Vedic philosophy in respect of God, man and nature; conception of self and human body; view of life; mortality, trans morality and immortality; inclusiveness and interconnectedness; spirituality; bhakti andyajña; education and cosmic harmony; language and persona of women besides the concept of Vedāpauruṣeyatva.
It will be a valuable collection for those who want to understand the basic philosophy of the Vedas.”
