Also, many biologically active compounds like terpenoids, flavonoids, sterols, sulfated polysaccharides, polyphenols, sargaquinoic acids, sargachromenol, pheophytine, plastoquinones, steroids, glycerides, phlorotannins, flucoxanthin, fucoidan were isolated from different Sargassum species. Similarly, the species ofother 180 genera have been elucidated in this volume for their therapeutic properties to meet the reader’s quest for information. All of the plants incorporated in this volume have also been named in the Sanskrit language based on their morphological characteristics through the ‘Vedic Taxonomy’ method.
