Dr T.M.P. Mahadevan (1911-83), a prominent Indian philosopher and Advaita scholar, was a prolific writer and an orator. He was professor of philosophy at the University of Madras and had authored a number of books. A great devotee of Ramana Maharshi, he was well dedicated to spread Maharshi’s Advaita philosophy. Outlines of Hinduism, The Hymns of Sankara, Sankaracarya, Perceptors of Advaita, The Quintessence of Wisdom, Upanisads: Selection from 108 Upanisads, Thousand Glories of Sri Ramakrishna, Ramana Maharshi and His Philosophy of Existence and Talks with Ramana Maharshi are some of his works.
